PLN

Two examples of personal learning networks (PLN's) that teachers could use are Facebook (Facebook.com) and Pinterest (pinterest.com). Both of these websites can be very beneficial in the classroom. For example, on Facebook, teachers can create groups with teachers from all over the world to share ideas and help each other out. This is a cool way for teachers to see how other people are doing similar things all around the world. On Pinterest teachers can gain ideas and inspiration on how to decorate their classroom. Pinterest can also give ideas for class projects or assignments. Both of these websites can be very helpful PLN's for teachers to connect with others.

Adaptive technologies are very helpful when it comes to supporting learners. With many different types of learners, there have been many technologies invented to help improve these special learners learning environment. I personally have not used any of these technologies but I know they are very helpful. People with speech disabilities are able to have a device speak for them. In classrooms, these technologies are very useful because almost every student learns in a different way.

One challenge with adaptive technologies is that there are so many different technologies and different types of learners that it could be hard to find what works best. Also with so many different types of learners, multiple technologies may be needed. In classrooms, some of these technologies could also be distracting to students. Especially with young students, they get distracted very easily and more technologies used in the room could become very distracting. 

This blog gives a description of five different ways to keep up with technology trends. These methods include: Web Media, Print Media, Social Media, Training, and Face-to-Face.
